Внутри вида есть разные формы, с различающимися плодами, но все они, как правило, имеют кислую сочную мякоть, толстое твёрдое альбедо, и приятный, характерный лимонный аромат флаведо (который был унаследован лимоном от цитрона). Один из истинных, не гибридных видов цитрусовых, является предком некоторых гибридных видов (лимон, лайм, бергамот, лаймкват и др.). Известен в Старом Свете ещё с античных времён.…
