У этого вида обоеполые сладко пахнущие лимонно-желтые цветы и зеленые плоды, которые желтеют при полном созревании. В основном это растение произрастает в вечнозеленых тропических и субтропических лесах. Сезон цветения приходится на март–май, плодоношения - на Октябрь–декабрь.
